Bought the "Mighty 7" DVD today

At Walmart $9.96. The BlueRay is more. Only two racks on the display had "Mighty 7" DVDs. One was for regular, and the other rack had the BlueRay. There wasn't any promotional material around it, no signs or banners.

    • Hmmm...Mighty 7 DVD = 9.96 (+tax) = 332 shares of POWN at today's close (- commission)...which will turn out to be the better investment? Still betting on Stan staying sharp and Mighty 7/Chakra/Annihilator/Reggie the Veggie Eating Crocodile miraculously make POW! an attractive takeover target for Disney at a buck a share. Crazy?

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Well, c'mon, somebody had to buy the DVD and POW! should get 1/3 of the profits. The DVD is a depreciating asset (unless it becomes a limited edition collectors item, then I'm in the money). POW! shares are going up right now, they are probably the better buy.

It's funny you mention that. I was going to speculate on the first "Zodiac" illustrated novel as a collectible. Maybe buy 25 to 50 copies, gambling that the first edition would go up in value if the IP turns into a Disney movie. But, with POW! shares so low, the shares are the better buy, right now. If POW! shares go up enough, I may speculate on the first "Zodiac" book.

I've been watching "Chakra" on ToonsTV. The animation isn't that good, but the story isn't so bad. I hope some company can see the value in the property and get better animation for it, or go live action.

I'm thinking that money from "Mighty 7" will be enough by itself to get POW! shares close to a dollar, especially if a lot of "Mighty 7" branded merchandise comes out.
