Methanol is a commodity. As such, it trades in a competitive marketplace with buyers and sellers. Keep in mind, MPET has no methanol to sell. They have a yet to be consummated "deal" to buy the Evans Shoal property which contains some high CO2 natural gas resource. There is "speculation" about a "possible" deal later to participate in some fashion in a methanol "project".I presume they would be the supplier of resource feedstock to the project.Issues of how long this would take and how much money would be required etc etc have not been discussed on this board that I am aware of.
The clock is running on the Evans Shoal "deal".What I worry about is declining revenues from legacy operations not being offset by the Montana project of the project in England.Any guesses on what the next set of financials will look like, anyone?
