I tried to reply earlier but my post didn't show up. So, I'll try again. The technique used on EPU 104 was not CO2 flooding. It was a water shutoff method that uses injected substances which plug up some of the water producing fractures while not affecting the oil producing fractures. According to a conversation I had with Investor Relations the company intends to try this technique on several more old Charles formation wells once the weather improves in Montana. After the water shutoff material is injected it takes about 8 weeks for the material to set up and plug off the water. Then the well can be restored to production, hopefully yielding much more oil and much less water. Apparently, there have been spectacular results reported by other companies in other old American fields.
