I've been considering selling my position in IRBT. I'm probably late to the game as I held it through the run up last December but I'm worried the stock hasn't reached bottom yet and I'm looking to get back in at a better price (or not get back in at all). So my questions are:
1. Does Heartland Robotics pose any kind of threat to iRobot? I'm not familiar enough with Heartland to know the business overlap, if any.
2. This one concerns me more - how do longs feel about Neato? Reading up on Neato's consumer offerings is what originally caused me to question my position. Their products have glowing reviews and the head-to-head comparisons between their robots and Roombas almost always end in their favor. For a much newer company, they seem to be way ahead in most areas of robotic vacuums. There also seems to be little love lost between executives at both companies.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts on these questions.
Heartland has no products out.... No contracting experiance... No distribution channels... I think they have along way to go and alot more money to raise before they even stamd a chance. Lol irobot could buy them out not to mention if they enter our area patents will keep irbt ahead of them ill check out the other one.
They only have a vacume irbt has expanded past that and is penetrating new markets and has a broader pipeline for many diffrent markets.
Health care Floor care Pool care Gutter care Goverment
Even though gov is in tough spending it will come back and irobot has devoloped a cheaper platform firstlook which should sell well to the gov sector. This neato vac global? Irobt has brand recconition in other parts of the world and i feel the best has yet to come id say you can try to time the drop the market looks like its goanna tank in general but irbt in 20 years should be up 300+%
