Eli Lilly and Company Message Board

At least the end will be sudden.

'If it shall be shall be done quickly.' LLY has no pipeline for new compounds. Nobody talks about the elephant in the cafeteria nor apparently in the board room. LLY's revenues with non-insulin based products will crater to near zero by 2013 starting in the 4Q of THIS year.

LLY will be purchased on the cheap.

    • Agreed. The "FIPNET" approach to partnering has some major pitfalls that will accelerate the process for example the Amylin scandal. Contract to provide marketing for two competing drugs? Something tells me this won't go to trial, but also a significant payment to Amylin while not admitting guilt.

The media just loves this company. It seems that most of the people are fooled all of the time. Someone I know who works there has had several major projects killed because the high-skilled management was let do during the current ongoing mass layoff (which has been hush-hush for the past 5 years, due to clever small lay-offs, hundreds of them, to skirt the Federal WARN requirements - which is another major lawsuit waiting to happen).

Only thing for sure is that no matter what the outcome, the lawyers will get paid.

    • And you will be embarrassed because you have not done your PROPER dd. You need to look a lot closer at LLY.
