Update: The Wall Street Journal reports that Sprint backed away from the deal earlier this week because the "timing wasn't right," and that there's no hard feelings between Mr. Hesse and the board for doing so.
Was the Sprint BOD waiting until critical mass on the Metro Pcs 4G LTE rollout?
Currently PCS has 8% of it's 9.4 Million customers on 4G. It will surely exceed 10% within weeks or maybe a couple months. At that point Hockey Stick adoption takes place (over 10% adoption) and growth accelerates.
They have proven to be quite profitable with acceleration on the very very near horizon.
