I have noticed in the last several months a lot of testing here in hanover twp. wash. county. Some wells have been drilled in this area but I think many more will follow. There are numerous pink flags yellow boxes with miles of cable every where. Helecopters flying over head and mexicans tromping thru the woods.I think RRC has got plans to spend money hand over fist for good reason in this area. There has been testing over the last decade here but nothing like now.I think this area is a sweet spot for nat gas. There are places where the gas just naturally comes up thru the ground.
You made good observations, the Avella, and Jefferson Twp. as others around, are within the super wet window as defined by RRC. Seismic surveying is what you are seeing. Once the data is analyzed, the ideal area will determine about where the well pads will be constructed. Then on or about the same time, field gathering pipelines will be constructed. I noted construction about half way up Campbell road from Avella last week. No sure if this is a well pad or compressor station site. It is supposed to be a colder perhaps snowy winter this year, so pad development may wait unit next spring. You can review RRC web site, and look at the latest investors’ presentation. There you will find in the document areas that RRC has identified as super rich. Based on one well I saw flaring this summer in Avella, the area should be very prospective. Hope there’re out of the woods by deer season. Well perhaps they will by default put a good drive on for everyone.
