    • gold? please you would really buy it at this price.

forgive me but, this sounds like a speculator/flipper pumping the housing bubble.

Gold may go up, but it value already past it's worth. Be wise and let it drop.

The US is a paper based economy. England during the great depression went back to marrying there currency to gold. That opened the door the dollar to take over.

Just let free market economies run their course. We will loose finance, but we will keep everything else. Heck we might not even loose financial dominance. Look at how US JpMorgan is getting first dibbs on failures.

The financial companies markets will temporarily collapse. And jobs in that market will be lost... TEMPORARILY. While the existing company goes away the market WILL NOT! another company will eventually grow into a valid market!

It you impose consequences and have a trial and conviction for these CEO's. Penalties and take back the money the earned "ILLEGALLY'. Then we will get regulation implemented without having to guess how to regulate. Who knows maybe the fear of this will cause them to have heart attacks like Mr. Enron.
