More than likely we will have something very exciting will happen to YHOO that makes all YHOO Longs very happy! My source: Ballmer wants this deal done before the new YHOO CEO gets on board.
Nineteen weekends of pure speculation---and I watched us all speculate in every one...wear me totally out. As I've said before, if I had a buck for every "this weekend" post, or "MSFT needs YHOO" or "Balmer meeting", my friends....I COULD BUY YHOO! I'm just like you all, long and strong and praying that a deal will right all the market's wrongs for me. Hope doesn't float, it fades after a while. GLTA!
He doesn't actually get to call the shots at YHOO. Not yet anyway. If you were a Yahoo exec, would you sign off on a deal knowing a new CEO was coming down the pipe? If the deal turns out to be good it does nothing for you. If anyone thinks a better deal was possible, you get to drive the little car and wear the rubber nose and floppy shoes.
Nope. Not too likely.
How about this? (IMO) Hang onto any shares you bought at $13 today, like those two guys this AM who are counting their pennies. Sell on the pop when the CEO is announced. Buy into the "dip" when earnings are announced and sell when the new CEO hops into bed with Ballmer.
Unless I'm wrong. In which case I will appreciate your ongoing advice a lot more. Have a good weekend.
I think ydkmattal and lexis did not "cover" their short positions yet. My thinking peisano and hotmodel covered some. These shorties will be very surprised this Monday. My take we will have a deal this weekend and an announcement Monday.

Get a different "source" !
Other source: Single digit market share and negative earning for the last 14 years. Recent Quarter loss is $480M, the biggest earnings loss for msft internet division. My gut feeling msft will declare the biggest loss for this division surpassing $480M loss.
