The Death of the PC
The days of forking over costly fees for software upgrades are numbered. The PC will soon be obsolete. And BusinessWeek reports almost 70% of Americans are already using the technology that will replace it.
In fact, the biggest names in computing - IBM, Yahoo! and Amazon - are spending hundreds of millions to harness the potential of this technology. Everything you need to know about this phenomenon - including two stocks you must buy - are all in a free report from The Motley Fool called, "The Two Words Bill Gates Doesn't Want You to Hear..."
what are those two words???
The notion of "cloud computing" seems to be taken out of the pages of Sun Micro's Total Cost of Ownership playbook. Now that the big "O" will own them, anyone see Oracle going after an appliance manufacturer to deliver their own version of this low cost PC solution?
I won't be giving up my PC either but I also might not be buying a full suite of Microsoft Office Apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) for my next one. That's the part that will hurt softie unless he's playing big in the cloud.
