Alipay.Com Now World’s Biggest Online Pay Company, Daily Says

Business ExchangeBuzz up!DiggPrint Email .Alipay.com is now the world’s largest online payment company, surpassing PayPal Inc. in terms of transaction volume and registered users, China Daily reported, citing Wang Gang, general manager of the merchant division of the Alibaba Group unit.
Alipay.com has a daily transaction volume of 2 billion yuan and more than 500 million registered users, the newspaper cited Wang as saying.

The point was :how much is a non paying user worth when that´s the only value of the company, no assets, no cash and no profits.
Remember Yahoo? Yahoo has been touted as having great potential since it was in the high 40´s. Potential is what the drunks you see in the gutter had.
The story can well be true, but being the biggest isn´t the same as being worth the most, or anything. How big was GM when they went bankrupt? What was the value of that big company then?
Soon also Taobao will be declared the biggest online marketplace in the world. Could you just imagining that these 5 internet companies (including Alibaba.com, Alisoft, Alimama.com and Alipay)are owned by Alibaba. So a $100B market value for Alibaba will become a reality, definitely achievable in due time. Well folks what do you think of YHOO owning 40% stakes of that monstrous Alibaba. Awesome that is word!
