If this guy is right then that would be the first time he gets anything right regarding Yahoo. He is a Yahoo long that has been constantly pumping fantasy scenarios and fictional evaluations. Facts and reality have no room in his novel and amusing ideas and “research” is not in his vocabulary. My favourite is his minimum $25000 million evaluation on Alipay that was then sold for $50 million.
Microsoft owns a part of facebook and facebook is using Microsoft BING for search. facebook is using technology that thousands of other popular sites are using making the alleged patent worthless. Sort of like having a patent on fart.
Well, Yahoo's IPs, if infringed should be defended, and ultimately the court will decide whether it is worth something or not. Oracle (and Sun) defended Java IP pretty well, MSFT settled a whle ago, Google is still on the hook (oh, Google settled with Yahoo on Yahoo's patents many years ago).
