The Obama EPA blamed in layoff of 138 workers at coal company
The Obama EPA is directly blamed for the layoff of 138 workers in Somerset PA.
PBS Coals announced Thursday that it has once again reduced its work force. The company informed 138 employees from various sites that they were losing their jobs. In addition to the employees, the Hart mine in Stonycreek Township and Roytown mine in Lincoln Township were idled.
PBS officials said the layoffs are necessary because of soft coal markets and increased pressure from the Environmental Protection Agency, which has increased costs.
