A Yahoo/Facebook Search Engine Would Be A Brilliant Move For Both Companies - Here's Why
This would be a smart strategic move for both companies. It could also drive billions of dollars to both companies' bottom lines.
And it would finally allow the world to create a strong No. 2 to the Google search juggernaut, which would be excellent for consumers, marketers, and third-party distribution partners alike.-
Facebook and Yahoo maybe. Mayer dumping Microsoft, definitely!

Yahoo and Facebook will do a search deal this year. The deal will kick-off in March.

Ask yourself this question......why does Facebook need Yahoo? Search and mail are down Y/Y
Facebook can do this on its own. The only reason you hope and wish for a deal is so the stock doesn't slide further from here as another company takes more search from Yahoo.

Kara Swisher reports yesterday - Search is another story all together, with Yahoo in what can only be described as a dysfunctional partnership with Microsoft that numerous sources tell me Mayer is seeking to end.

Nice find. This deal has been in the works. As soon as Yahoo can end their deal with Microsoft it's all over.
