I thought Yahoo Japan's market cap was over $20 bil? Seeking Alpha is usually just krap...

..used to manipulate share prices. This is something I have observed in numerous of their articles (they pay to get on YHOO news) on various stocks.

Yahoo Japan Corporation (YAHOY) market cap $19.18 billion.
Yahoo´s part of that is $6.7 billion or under $4 billion after tax.
Publishing facts is a well known trick used to manipulate stock price.

      • So has Y-Japan dropped recently as it had been over $20 bil.? Note that the Alpha article said only $14 bil so that was my point that they were way off. Yes facts are essential but one can manipulate or limit them in various ways and ergo not tell the full and real story. For example in Gloom's numbers he does not consider that YHOO has a cost basis that will not be taxed and the possibility of change to tax law, tax free split, etc. Even with gloom's numbers that would put YHOO cash at well over $10 bil and still owning 23% of AG, so essentially the YHOO core is trading for zero.
