The federal government is pushing "teleworking", and every time there's any snow, employees are told they have the choice to taking leave or "teleworking". The problem is the employees are not given specific assignments, and when they return to work, they discuss the soap operas they spent the day watching, or the shopping they did. No accountability; no consequences.
Teleworking should be restricted to professions such as painters and writers, not people who work together to colaberate to produce new concepts and R&D.
MM is setting standards, and I applaud her. Neither sex should claim special treatment because they have small children at home - that's discrimination. Nobody should complain about commuting; that's part of any job unless you're self-employed!
if some look like they function better remotely, she'll reinvigorate, assimilate, and send them home to "produce" adroitly. if there are some rough edges, they'll get polished. great ceo evaluates whole company. all pieces.
