It seems that whenever I want to log in to check mail, Yahoo takes forever to reload each page. Not running any virus or other security software which might explain the slow down....Really mysterious why it's become so slow. Otherwise, I use their services (especially stock info and my portfolios)
Yahoo's email is very slow now because they are letting the NSA harvest all email and IM data from your account. If you have a lot of messages and data that you retain, this is done every time you log into your account. Plus, they also give about 100 peer networking marketing providers access to all of your email, instant messages, and SMS messages, so that they can better target their ugly ads to you.
The business intelligence (BI) harvesting of your data is done without your permission and without any notification to the user, and is done to all Americans and foreigners alike, despite the American Patriot Act's legality to do so, and despite the fact that the invasion of privacy is in violation of the US Constitution.
That being said, so does Facebook and MySpace, and a host of other companies, including Microsoft. You can view your computer as a shared network connection with a host of hackers and multiple applications running in the cloud (actually, hosted on your home or office PC, again, without your permission or payment by Yahoo to do so).
The world has become a place where no message, or voice conversation, is private. So, just get used to it, and expect very slow internet, because Yahoo makes a lot of money selling your information to private marketing firms and to the US government.
