    • are looking at for today

    • ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • a thousand leeches are sucking the life's blood
out of me....or maybe it's just a headache from
watching all this emotionalism unfold. Anyway, I'm not
complaining...about the emotionalism...it's definitely good theater.

    • "Tell me about this capitulation business you
speak of so often. What does it mean for the market to
capitulate? Why is capitulation good? I gather we had no
capitulation as you expected before the appearance of the guy
      you call Ralphie."

      Capitulation is (though I
think you know) where the market basically says "NO
MAS!" and basically expunges anything and everything in
massive volume. Like last year when they poked Ralphie
with a stick. ( they may not have wheeled him out, but
I had to be wheeled out after that day!)

      A
great example is last oct. 8th. The market was
SCREAMING down, with no hope in sight, when out of the
shadows, Uncle Al threw us a rate cut and the markets
      turned on a dime.

      Yesterday was on decent volume,
but the turn around was based on insulting Acampora,
not any true market news. With this go around, we
also have to worry about breaching 10K on the dow,
      which is scary.

We may not see capitulation till
the middle of the month- it will be a weird
      month.

Or the biggest rally you or I have ever
      seen.

      Go figure.

    • Tell me about this capitulation business you

      BTW I'm pretty sure Ralph
was ambulatory on this occasion last year and the
year before. He didn't need a wheelchair.

    • Just for a bracer, I hope you short term players
have done your homework. First off, I'm aware that
past performance is no guarantee of present results,
      so spare me the retorts.

      I just wanted to
share that the last two years showed large losses on
9/30, despite the so-called end of the month "window
      dressing".

On sept. 30 last year, the OEX lost -15 points. The
next day, oct. 1 lost an additional -15
      points.

In 1997, a more friendly environment, lost -8 points
on the OEX. Granted, that lined it up for a nice
run, but again it was a different climate.

      Last
year, YHOO dropped -2 on the 30th and dropped -17 the
next day. It recovered after that, but not without
      alot of pain out there.

      Who knows? History
doesn't always repeat, and there must have been some
reason for that drop, I just can't remember. That might
have been the day they wheeled Ralphie out last year.

    • shoots up 25 points.....can any of this from amzn rub...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee
