Rexahn Pharmaceuticals: Teva Pharmaceutical (TEVA) increases its investment in Rexahn for continued research and development of pre-clinical anti-cancer compound, RX-3117 (1.22) Co announces that Teva Pharmaceutical (TEVA) purchased 2,334,515 shares of Rexahn's common stock in a private offering for $3.95 million, or $1.692 per share. This investment by Teva was made pursuant to the terms of the Securities Purchase Agreement, dated June 26, 2009, as amended. The investment money will be used for the purpose of supporting the research and development program for the pre-clinical stage, anti-cancer compound RX-3117. After this transaction, Teva will own 6.29% of the outstanding shares of Rexahn.
Can't believe anyone is going to put money into bringing out another monoclonal antibody without the ADC potency provided by Seattle Genetics or Immunogen. Next win will be when somebody can provide the monoclonal targeting at a reasonable pricing.

I didn't see it Dr. K. I do know that it's going to get tougher and tougher to get high priced drugs approved. BIIB and ACOR found that out on Friday with their MS drug that helped MS patients walk a little bit farther with its use. I'm looking for Mipo to surprise on the upside with the drug's soft plaque reduction in arterial endothelium that no one seems to think is possible. A growth hormone drug for the masses if you will. Time will tell. t
