Cash will last into 2015...
Trial participants are living longer than expected so results will take a little longer. Company says, "don't read anything into this." Yeah right....wink....wink......That's good I think.
Pre-specified number of deaths required for the analysis is now expected to occur in late Q1 or early Q2 of 2014, with results expected to be announced in mid-2014. Results from Boralis-1, the P2 1st-line bladder trial for 427, are expected in 2H of 2014, and they've said in the past that if all goes well they may announce interim results from the Pacific trial, the P2 trial of Zytiga +/- 427, at ASCO GU in February. So if SYNERGY fails, positive results from P2 trials for 427 could cushion the blow.
According to the 10-Q filed today, p. 20, the planned interim efficacy analysis in SYNERGY has not yet occurred. So there's still a chance of a positive early outcome.
