-Our aim was to develop a test in which this incubation time could be
either greatly reduced or eliminated
Bwahahahaha!!!. Leer, you are a piece of work ... are't you???
I guess if you wanted to take a non-valid poster to a conference with your name on it with fictitious information on it and add to it a 100% chance of ruining you reputation throughout the medical community. In effect ruining your business and personal life as well .......then go ahead.... take a "non-valid" poster to a conference..... see where it gets you.........Dufuss!
I expected more out of you bashers than that......... Dufuss - again!
"In a stunning development that began in December, in studies by a yet-to-be-named third party, results have been attained for GBS, Anthrax, and other bacteria in one hour or less using the BNF."
So the stunning development is now there is no culturing, a monoclonal antibody is used and they did not use samples from pregnant women. In short...antibodies on a nitrocellulose membrane. I believe they also said it was done in triplicate.
PDE-"Simply prove that the technology works and gives results very quickly."
Sure PDE, it works when you use a reference GBS sample alone by itself. You seem to have been totally shocked when you saw the sensitivity & PPV percentages for the 6 hr. test. What will those #'s be for this method?
My point is that when they announced a "change" in the GBS test protocol...I'm fairly sure you and everybody else here on this board, myself included, felt they had done so using samples from pregnant women....as an adjunct to the 350 patient trial.
An interesting change nobody has talked about is the sample prep work going on now. Note the spinning of the sample in a microcentrifuge at 3000 RPM and the formation of a "pellet".
It will be interesting to see how this works out with a real patient sample, posing a mixed sample of GBS and other background flora which may be present.
IMO, this "new" non-culturing protocol comes out of necessity if one wants to create a test for determining unknown GBS status at onset of labor. 6 hrs. isn't fast enough.
Per Commishfree1: "IMO, this "new" non-culturing protocol comes out of necessity if one wants to create a test for determining unknown GBS status at onset of labor. 6 hrs. isn't fast enough. "
Per the experts, ie doctors at Texas Medical Center, seems they can NOT use PCR for this either since they report:
"Rapid diagnostic tests for GBS have relied on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, and are cumbersome, expensive, and often require specialized training. A rapid test that is inexpensive and easy to perform would allow for intrapartum screening for GBS."
Seems Commish's vaulted PCR does NOT do what they want, therefore TMC is working to IMPROVE medical technology!
Commish: are you against progress and medical improvements? IF other technology did what TMC - the industry wants, then the opportunity would not exist. It does, so hopefully NNLX can fill this need.
<<Why don't you understand what is being said in a post before you comment on it. I said nothing of a "complete restart".>
Seriously, you don't think even for a second that a whole another trial might be needed ? Not being negative.
Commish = strange guy
Go hang out with Omar and you can ask each other questions about the shares they do not claim to own.
I think they both own shares and purchsed them aroun $1. So they are upset and rant and rave about it here beacause they don't want to admit their mistakes.
GTHIAHB Omar and commissh
=Go To He$$ In A Handbasket
I see you got the standard crickets chirping response from Commish . Allow me to answer with the help of his link <<<<The BD MAX GBS Assay is an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) test for detection of GBS DNA in Lim Broth cultures >>>
Now I am not microbiologist nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but Lim broth cultures! Does he think we don’t know how to read? What does it take for those cultures 12 hours? and that is before even starting their test. I don’t know but it is more than an hour that it take for our new test procedure and it is also more than 6 hours the time it take for the original test procedure with AST to boot!
<<I think they both own shares and purchsed them aroun $1. So they are upset and rant and rave about it here beacause they don't want to admit their mistakes.>>
I've been around before that $1 run up, and besides MR. Spell checker what's up with misspelling in your short post ? You need to fix your own error before coming on here to complain about NNLX website mistakes.
