'Nightmare Bacteria' Defy Even Last-Ditch Drugs
'Nightmare bacteria,' strains of superbugs resistant to even the most powerful antibiotics, have quadrupled in number in the last decade--and have been found lurking in hospitals in 42 states.
I think that from today's broadcast they said 2,000,000 HAI's in USA every year and 90,000 deaths.
Ignore the problem if you want to but, this baby is not going away and it just gets bigger and it just gets worse.
Sometimes the problems come in from outside the USA but, did you know that the USA gave drug resistant KPC to the rest of the world? It works both ways !
CRE superbugs in hospitals among other things,
the mortality rate is 50% and they don't know how it is spreading in hospitals.
Now would be a perfect time for an ad campaign for a fast t AST test for proper antibiotic use. Talk about perfect timing.
