It would seem to me that they need more electric generation. If they need more electric generation in an area not serviced by a nat gas pipeline it might make sense. To power a thermo electric plant or generator with oil is expensive even for the Saudi. My guess is that they are going to have to expand electricity for domestic consumption and probably major desalinization plants. Takes a lot of electricity to make drinking water from ocean water. Good think is i doubt earth quakes are a big issue there. Bad news is geopolitics and terrorists are a big issue there. Irans reactor is due to go critical first week of may, and that will hearld a more nuclear middle east whether we like it or not.
