    Update news_Details

I appreciate your comment which makes me feel better already. I'm to get the GreenLight PVP next Tuesday, Jan. 10, as an outpatient in a hospital setting. The Urologist has performed the procedure more than 200 times, and in response to my questioning stated: " He has yet to have any of the patients say they regret having this (procedure) done."

    • Good luck. You won't regret it. Your situation sounds like mine and it was decided during the preop testing period that I would stay overnight. I went home without a catheter and was back to normal activity within a day. A far cry from some of my friends who have had the "gold standard" Turp. Also I would discount what others may say about this or that laser. Greenlight works and in the hands of an experienced operator it should go smoothly without any untoward events. Look at the statistics and it appears that you have selected a urologist who has what it takes. By the way the fee is broken up with the urologists fee coupled with the hospital fee for the procedure. In addition there is the fee for the anaesthesiologist and if there is an overnight stay then the fee for the room. Medicare and my secondary covered it all and I had no out of pocket expenses. Come back and tell us how it goes.
