    good buying opportunity here?

anybody think IPI is a good buying opportunity right now? The whole Potash selloff looks severely overdone to me, and IPI looks like the best value of the bunch, trading right around book. They are also independent. Is this truly a strength as they stress in their conference call or is it actually a weakness? Some say that what is happening now will crush all of the biggest players and run them out of business. Does this mean IPI could go down the tubes and POT is the better buy? Would be interesting in hearing some longs discuss the strengths and weaknesses of this company compared to its peers. Looks pretty compelling to me at these levels but a lot of haters out there making their voices heard.

    • Here's a criticism of IPI I read on the POT board. Any validity to this?

      The poster writes:

IPI's cost of potash production is above $250/ton. Their margins are really going to contract. I know they think they've got a lower cost mine on the way, but they don't have very attractive mines.

I wouldn't touch IPI or K+S with a 10-foot stick. They are the marginal potash producers and will be hurt the most by the Uralkali action
