Today it went up $4.54 to $66.70.

A problem I have with this stock is that because it is a Chilean company, they withhold somewhere around 22% for foreign taxes, and since I hold this in a 401k I cannot claim it on my taxes. That's a big hit.

Its unusual to hold individual stocks in a 401k. I did, but it was JPMorgan Chase and it was the only individual stock offered because it was a former employer.
If you can pick individual stocks for your 401k, why not sell PVD in the 401k and buy it in an individual account where you can offset the Chilean withholding tax.

PVD seems to trend together with the (Chilean mining) Copper market, and to a lesser degree with the Financials.
Check the 'Compare' chart of PVD vs. JJC and XLF, and you'll see the resemblance.
BTW: I think that many are reading this Board, though few write. -
I too am in at a higher price. There do not seem to be many investors that read this board. Maybe there are not many investing in this in the U.S.A. I am hoping for a rebound but I'm not sure it will anytime soon.

I've known of PVD for at least 3 or 4 years and earlier this year took a position in it. I wasn't looking for a big gain, just a good dividend and what I thought was safety, but the stock is down.
What bothers me--I'm not worried but just annoyed--is that I can't really get much information--I'd like to see quarterly reports but there isn't that information on Yahoo Finance and there isn't a link to SEC reports. I don't subscribe to EDGAR so don't get information that way.
