    Good level of discussion...

Generally when I short term trade a stock it is
one in which I already hold a position and believe
that it has good long term potential.

    Not sure
of your rationale of looking for a quick return on a
stock that you think will go down in price. I don't see
how a change in interest rates or settlement of the
election would affect this stock more than others. There
are plenty of other stocks that have a good long term
potential if the short term pop doesn't occur. Could you
give us further insight into your thought process?

    • You stated: >>> Not sure of your

must have misunderstood what I said. I never said that
I think TGX will go down. I stated that I dont
believe that with all its problems and under the present
management that TGX is a good long-term investment. That
doesnt mean you cannot make a short-term profit on
      it.

You stated: >>>I don't see how a change in
interest rates or settlement of the election would affect
this stock more than others. <<< Once again I
never intended to imply that these events would effect
TGX any more or less than other stocks. In fact, if
you read message 13701 to Big Dog, you will see that
I specifically said the same events could cause
      other stocks to go up.

      You stated:
      >>>There are plenty of other stocks that have a good long
term potential if the short term pop doesn't
occur.<<< Very true, however, Im not investing in TGX for
the long-term. Im only in for a short-term pop,
which by the way hasnt happened yet for TGX. I
definitely dont want to hold this stock beyond the next
earnings announcement. I have watched this TGX since 1997
and have enough experience to fairly determine how
major events effect this stock. At one time TGX was a
highly volatility stock but since has lost some of its
pep. However, certain events do have a tendency to
cause the volatility to temporarily rise. On any given
day, this stock can go up 10% or more. In addition, I
am limiting my downsize risk because of the low
price of TGX. You cant drop much further on a $4.50
stock price versus a $45.00 stock price.

      I hope
      this clarifies my position.
