    Long Term Outlook = Doom

msft is the Stanley Steamer of our age. It is doomed for the following reasons.
    - They will be the death of every PC Box maker in America. Why = XP O.S. is unintuitive and cumbersome. And if you really think about it, STUPID! EX = Bought a HP with 3-fire and 6-USB ports to do video, snapshots, and music. ( the stupidest thing I ever did ). I do not want this gem of a PC to get within a thousand miles of the internet, But msft said if I defragged anything to do with the internet, " Your Programs Will Not Run Right" or " You will Encounter Problems Doing What You Want To Do". I've never been THREATEND by an inanimate object before. I'm not a computer nerd. Just one of the 100 million people who don't want to connect to the internet with a new computer. ( the old one's good enough ) Anyway I defragged anything related to the internet, and sure enough, XP made my life miserable.

    - PANASONIC came out with a HDD VCR that makes it so simple to do videos I feel like crying with joy. I know other manufacturers are following suit. This is sweet revenge for us 100 million.

    - ADVICE to msft and all the box makers = keep on doing what you're doing. Those 10,000 nerds need you. Just do everything they say. The rest of us are just counting the days when the jail gates are open and we are free. Free of this mindless chains.

    • I am sorry to hear that you have so many problems with XP, but I will say that you aren't telling me anything new. That is why I bought and use a Mac. OS X is far easier than anything out of Microsoft's Windows development group. OS X is not where it should be, but it is getting closer every day. I use XP along side with OS X just to remind me of why I love a Mac so much more. I have one word to say... REGISTRY..

It is not too late to switch....

BTW.. I have owned MSFT stock since '86 because I knew that there are too many mindless people buying into the bunch of kludgey crap that Microsoft puts out. I wanted to make sure I could use the profits to buy a computer made by Apple, cause at least they lead in innovating cool stuff that works more in the way that I work. Plus, I get the added bonus of having fun using my computer. A feeling never brought on by using anything put out by Microsoft. To me, MSFT just doesn't get it. They want to make it more difficult so that they can make even more money selling expensive updates, training MSCEs, and convicing stupid CTOs that they need a lot of people to support their computing environment.

Have fun using XP and whatever else Microsoft crams down your throats. :-)
