    Today's Internet Virus

    Theory:

Today's massive hit on the internet was a probe or test to see how much vulnerability exists in the system. As the virus "did its thing" it was also reporting back to it's Master - valuable information that will be mission critical for the next mega strike that will be timed to coincide with the US invasion of Iraq.

If the entire fucking internet went completely
down, it still would not affect the phone
system, and no matter what what done short
of a weapons attack, i.e. physical
destruction, it wouldn't take more than a week
      to fix.

This might disrupt business a bit, but it
wouldn't be anything more than an annoyance.

In a word, NO. By the time we start to fight Iraq, that vulnerability will be all patched up.
