China's "artificial sun" finishes first engineering adjustment
Around August 15th, the first plasma discharge test on China's experimental advanced superconducting Tokamak (EAST), or the so-called "artificial sun", will be conducted at the Science Island in Hefei, in east China's Anhui Province. Once the test succeeds, it will mean that the world's first nuclear fusion device of its kind is completed and will be able to go into actual operation.

    • <Here's a definition of 'science' from webster's (the first entry) for you stupid, science = "the state of knowing".>

If you think you can understand it from a one line definition, you demonstrate once again that you haven't a clue. Yes, science is knowledge, of a certain kind, but more than that it is a process for acquiring knowledge. You wouldn't learn that from the definition. Young scientists-in-training spend years learning what science is. It's far beyond you.

    • |Here, among other places, is where you make it so abundantly clear that you have no idea whatsoever what science is.

Here's a definition of 'science' from webster's (the first entry) for you stupid, science = "the state of knowing".

The point I'm trying to make is that science, or "the state of knowing" is constantly evolving and should always be questioned (science in the past told you that the earth was flat).

Your shitty little agenda (of wanting to call all 'softies' prejudiced) does NOT allow you to see that.

If you had an IQ worth measuring I'd claim that your blindness was a pity, such as it is...

BTW dipshit, do the chinese 'KNOW' that they can gain usable power from fusion (hint: NO, but I hope they can)?

What a short sighted clown you are.

    • <1) ALL science should be questioned (remember the 'earth is flat' and there are 'cloned humans').>

Here, among other places, is where you make it so abundantly clear that you have no idea whatsoever what science is.

    • |Go back and read the thread, diot. You've done nothing else.

Since you're obviously too stupid to figure it out for yourself I'll make it really simple for you.

      1) ALL science should be questioned (remember the 'earth is flat' and there are 'cloned humans').

      2) Up to now power from fusion has been a pipe dream, why should we NOT question the chinese scientists?

      3) You've come here with some shitty little game/agenda and so far nobody has fallen for it.

      4) You're a clown, a funny, funny clown.

    • <Show me where I bashed science>

Go back and read the thread, idiot. You've done nothing else.

    • |It couldn't be more obvious. Look at the subject line on the thread in which you and other softies are doing your dead level best to bash science.

Show me where I bashed science you fucking idiot (my point is that it's correct to question scinece, not necessairly bash it).

It's obvious that you came here with an agenda and your retarded little game plan isn't working out.

Hey, did you hear that humans have been cloned and that there be dragons too?

    • Yikes! Judging by most things I've bought recently made in China, they might not want to fuck around with plasma suns.

    • <So you know what's in my mind and the point I'm trying to convey better than I do.>

It couldn't be more obvious. Look at the subject line on the thread in which you and other softies are doing your dead level best to bash science.

    • | except that you're an illiterate

That's a lie and you are a fucking liar.

      Get used to it.

    • |No, your point is that science is a bad thing, because the Chinese are better at it than we are

So you know what's in my mind and the point I'm trying to convey better than I do. Well to tell you the truth, that is fucking bullshit and you are simply another internet whacko.

      |I'm not going to debate the substance of science with you, because you're not capable of understanding anything I would say,

LOL! More elitist bullshit. It's obvious that you've eaten WAY too much lead paint in your lifetime.

      |and because science doesn't stand in need of defense against an ignoramus like you.

Ok dumbfuck, go around screaming that fusion is a done deal and that we indeed have cloned humans (and that the earth is flat, and that 'there be dragons').**

      |it very clear that you have not the remotest idea what science is.

LOL! See above ** statement ya fucking clown.

      |All you know about science is that you're agin it.

Yeah don't question it, just believe everything you're told by every scientist in existance. In that vein, did you know that a korean scientist has cloned humans and that there be dragons?

You make me laugh, and not with you either.
