Anti-virus software worse than a virus

Microsoft is going to lose it all if they can't do something about these intrusive anti-virus programs that come loaded on PCs. I'd rather give Apple the $500 dollars more they cost then give these a-hole antivirus companies a penny.

    • >On *LINUX* it hasn't happened to me<

It happened to all other FF users, perhaps you're too STUPID to know what a re-direct is?

Google searches may redirect to a page with a lot of advertising or using a different search engine.

    • >Linux has never been redirected in my case<

I tried FireFox and got re-directed to every scanner site on the internet so it's back to IE8 for me where I'm safe and protected.

    • >Use a real search engine....Google.....<

Did you get redirected to a scanner site after using GooG search? Linux is very easily redirected.

This article describes what to do when searches from Firefox don't go to the expected site(s). For example, Google searches may redirect to a page with a lot of advertising or using a different search engine.

tOO EASY, search bing "linux data loss" 172,000,000 hits, SKIPPY!

    • Yo, illiterate ESL fuck, take a couple of extra classes in reading comprehension targeted specifically toward English.

Cite an instance of a Linux based computer or network being "hacked" or infected resulting in damage, business disruption or loss of data, and provide a link.

Your 'citation' fails in that it is not related to Linux and does not mention damage, business disruption or loss of data.

Nonsense, if Linux was so great there wouldn't be any configuration errors. That fact is that 500+ distros make Linux a mess.

      skipWinSecurityPolicyChecks regression for FF 3.6
Since the KB article does not indicate that this security feature is removed from Firefox 3.6, I expect Firefox 3.6 to behave the same as 3.0.6-3.5.7. In other words, I consider this a Firefox 3.6 regression.

This MAY be related to other threads on the Toolbar, but those I looked at did not state the exact problem I found.

No matter what method I use (View menu or right-click Toolbar) if I try to Customize the Toolbar by drag-drop an icon, the Toolbar becomes disabled (grays-out). If I restart Firefox the Toolbar is enabled but the added icon is gone.
