This 4% move higher is a great mystery. MSFT jumping to this degree doesn't seem logical considering the economic backdrop, and the weak company fundamentals. Smells like a short squeeze and some speculative buying with no basis in reality.

Market capitalizations jump around for all sorts of reasons; the main two being fear and greed.
As market value only tells what buyers are willing to play for a stock, they really don't mean anything.
A more accurate measure for a company's market value is the company's enterprise value.
