Should We Bomb Iran to Please the pro-Israel War Mongers?

We bombed Iraq for the Israel Lobby ... and Afghanistan .... and Pakistan ... and it didn't work out very well ... so should we up the ante and now start a really big war by boming Iran ... all for the benefit of a small, brutal dictatorship called Israel.

Oh, by the way, when did Iran attack America?
When did Iraq attack America? ... when did the government of Afghanistan attack America? When did Pakistan attack America?

Obama, Holder among 'most corrupt politicians'
America's top elected leader makes ethically challenged list yet again

In a capital city where the U.S. Constitution apparently fast is becoming an anachronism, both the nation's chief executive, Barack Obama, and his buddy, chief law enforcer Attorney General Eric Holder, have been named to a list of the nation's "most corrupt politicians."

"Barack Obama apparently believes it is his 'prerogative' to ignore the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law ... " said the report compiled by Judicial Watch, the Washington-based watchdog on government behavior.

And the allegations connected to Holder go far beyond the cerebral world of political position, statement and argument – into the lives and deaths of real people.

"Revelations from the Operation Fast and Furious scandal suggest that programs approved by the Holder DOJ may have resulted in the needless deaths of many, including a federal law enforcement officer," Judicial Watch said.

Read the inside story on Washington corruption, from the ultimate Washington insider, Jack Abramoff, in "Capitol Punishment."

This year's list, alphabetically, includes: Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala.; former Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev.; Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla.; Attorney General Eric Holder, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill.; Barack Obama; Rep. Laura Richardson, D-Calif.; Rep. David Rivera, R-Fla.; Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif.; and Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska.

Dishonorable mentions for 2011 included a potential GOP presidential candidate, former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, as well as former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C.; Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.; Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano; Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.; Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky.; and and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.

      Read all the details.

Obama made last year's list after Judicial Watch reminded Washington watchers of Obama's promise regarding "transparency and the rule of law."

"Instead, Americans have suffered through lies, stonewalling, cover-ups, corruption, secrecy, scandal and blatant disregard for the rule of law … this has been the Obama legacy in its first two years," the report said then.

This year's was not a significant improvement.

    • >Should We Bomb Iran to Please the pro-Israel War Mongers?<

We should bomb them in order to remove the hairy ugly mofos from the gene pool.

...I'll bet *you* are a hairy ugly mofo...

    • What a sorry rebuttal. Full of baseless, gratuitous personal insults and contrived, irrelevent misdirects regarding our entry into the Iraq war. Not at all up to your standards.

    • Can't you think of a more inflammatory way to spin it?

    • We should do something far worse. Give them free copies of Windows Vista! It will take at least 2 years for them to recover from Vista.

    • >>> Oh, by the way, when did Iran attack America?
When did Iraq attack America? ... when did the government of Afghanistan attack America? When did Pakistan attack America?

Afghanistan harbored the Taliban & Al Qeida, so we took out Afghanistan. Al Qeida did attack us on 9/11/2001. Ossama Bin Laden declared war on the USA years earlier. There was also a history of Al Qieda, OBL & his buddies doing terror against America.

To be honest, I was always a little dubious about why we invaded Iraq. When they (Bush-Cheneny-Rumsfeld) said they had WMD and were bad guys that we couldn't tolerate in a post-9/11 world, I went along with it. Personally, I thought "WTF is Iraq doing? They've be quiet and under economic sanctions for a decade. What COULD they be up too?"

I remember, my Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld doing a speech where he said, "In this post 9/11 world, Sadam Hussein was a bad guy and we couldn't tolerate bad guys! So we have to get'em!" So I agreed, "Let's get'em!"

And sure enough we did. And Mission Accomplished! In no time!

BUT while Uncle Donald WAS prepared to do an invasiona nd while he was planning to do it cheap, he NEVER planned to do an OCCUPATION!

The Republicans didn't even want to ADMIT it WAS and "occupation." They wanted it to be a "Liberation"!

Hail Mary & Full of Grace! A "Liberation"!

Guess they never played Risk! or Civilization II (or III or IV)

In Risk! I put about 2000 of my guys and North West Territories (Alaska?) and invade your Yakutsk province, and when I beat off you pitiful armies, I move almost all of my guys to Yakutsk to OCCUPY the da*m province so you can't counter attack!

Or in Civ II, you SOON learn that a "cheap" conquest is a big pain-in-the-butt because partisan troops pop up all over and are a big pain in the butt to clean up and kill off!

UNLESS you plan to occupy almost every square of a conquered city! SUPPRESSING those partisans!

But no, Donald Rumsfeld never planned for an "occupation" and wanted to do it on the cheap. I have found so many times in my life that cheap is often the most expensive!

And with military occupations, pardon me "liberations", cheap is often the MOST expensive!

I'm tired and I'm going to bed.

    • Maybe we should have bombed Iran first!

We've got it right this time.

      WMD and all!

    • So, I assume that you believe all the lies and misdirections that got us into the Iraq quagmire? You provide flimsy, nebulous justifications for a senseless war that proved to be a disaster for our country.

I fear that the same credulity is drawing us another disaster in Iran.

    • Now really, Hawcreek, Is what you wrote proof that the Taliban, "gave Osama permission for the 9/11 attack"?

As to Iraq's war on Kuwait, there is evidence that our ambassador to Iraq at the time led Sadam to believe that the US wouldn't be upset with an invasion of Kuwait. In any event, Iraq was defeated and essentially confined and harassed for about 12 years subsequently and had no capability to attack America ... or anyone else. We carried out an unprovoked attack on Iraq.

The "weapons of mass destruction" lie was part of the neocon (read Israel Lobby) methodology to push America into getting into that senseless, quagmire of a war.

    • "small, brutal dictatorship called Israel."

You still here spewing anti-semitic rhetoric? Like I said, feel free to sign on to Hezbollah or Al Qaeda, if you haven't already, and have some real impact.
