We don't understand why they would fire Raystock. We have always heard that he maintained the restrooms in a spotless condition and always made sure that the toilet paper and paper towels were refilled promptly.
Don't sweat it, Ray. One thing you'll learn out there is that being fired from MS is almost a badge of honor in the tech world. Most prospective employers know that success and failure at MS is all about politics and, basically, the good people who just do their job don't succeed, while the incompetents who can kiss #$%$ and promote themselves go to the head of the line. You won't have any problem finding a better job with a better company. In fact, many employers will take you over someone who is thought to be a "star" at MS. Good luck.
