Obama Green Energy Stimulus Money Success Story #395

A123 Systems, the manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars, was spoon-fed hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money by the Obama administration into what they assured us was a guaranteed-successful endeavor at ushering in the glorious green-energy revolution and leading us down the progressives' idea of a path to energy independence.

They are now bankrupt, but don't worry! Your money (talking to taxpayers, not you Obama voters) isn't going to waste. The company will survive!

It is being purchased by China. Your dollars will just be helping other deserving, albeit non-
American, people. Silver lining - A123 only got to spend $132 million of the $250 million Obama was shoveling to them.

    Washington Post - 12/9/12

Chinese automotive parts giant, Wanxiang, won the bidding for a bankrupt Massachusetts-based lithium battery manufacturer that was once hailed as a cornerstone of President Obama’s quest for American dominance in electric vehicles and battery technology.
