    Why Are The Republicans Holding The Economy Hostage At The Request Of The Koch Bros?

    The Republicans have no motivation to fix the so called "Fiscal Cliff" for the following reasons.

    1. The Koch Bros own the Republican House. It's not in the best interests of the billionaire Koch Bros to raise taxes.

    2. The Republicans are willing to take the chance that destroying the economy can be blamed on Obama in the long run. This is being orchestrated by David & Charlie Koch.

    3. The Koch Bros lobbyist, Grover Norquist has the Tea Party / Republican House by the short hairs due to the Norquist pledge. By allowing the Tea Party / Republican House to break the Norquist pledge, Grover would lose his grip on them.

      If this is just a bit of true..the Koch Bros got allot more to lose than paying higher tax if we get in to a recession. ;-)

      Congress, it's pledge or lose seat.

      People, like those here, misled and brainwashed by daily propaganda saying Obama is socialist etc. Fomenting hatred where none should exist. They, the Bros, cloak what's behind it, their tax increase. They also of course openly planned privatizing social security ( to get that money away from average folks), voucherize Medicare (to make seniors pay more), and establish tax free unlimited inheritance for their heirs. The last thing is probably the most important thing to people worth 31 billion each.

        Wealth, M-O-N-E-Y, is political power in this country. Concentrations of wealth = concentrations of power and the hands of the few.

        The inheritance taxes on the Koch's $31 billion is a primary driver for the House Republican's sandbagging on any tax agreement. Since the Koch's own the Republican House, they can dictate tax law.
