I want the Surface Pro not RT!!!!!!!

Does anyone know why they would delay the better version of the Surface Pro until after Christmas? This is going to be Microsoft's down fall. Sure wish I could get a Samsung Windows 8 Phone, but no carriers even offer it in my area.

    • MSFt is will soon sell both Surface RT and Surface Pro, as well as many other Surfaces in the near future. I see Surface Mini and Surface Big, both RT and Pro, are on the way!!!!

Surface RT goes for people who wants useful machine that is cheap.

Surface Pro goes for people who want super high performance as well as fun.

    • It kind of shocking that someone in Microsoft refuse to even consider making a mini version of Surface in the near future - 2014-2016.

    • They want to weed out the dummkopfs like you & get the serious buyers like me that will buy the Pro.

    • because they're MSFT - that's why

    • as a side note, I bought a Kindle HD fire for someone special for Christmas, I know the Surface is more money, but if they had the Pro version out, I probably would of bought that instead. Apparently Steve Ballmer learned nothing from Bill Gates and his open source approach. Going from 97% to 30% of the PC market. How you say Good Bye Microsoft....

    • Check the MS Company Store. They probably have them piled to the rafters for the employees that get reimbursed.

      • You will not get free Microsoft Office with the Surface Pro. You will only realize what a deal the RT is after 01/13. Surface RT comes with free office. Price office! The surface pro market is not in the range of your average Christmas Gift unless you give expensive gifts. I started using the different development tools for developers and enterprise developers and there have been things they definitely needed time to work out. The enterprise customers want what they will have no matter what the month. The market is not Christmas shoppers that is more in line with the RT. I have seen large gov. contractors using the WIN8 right now on machines without a touchscreen. I even asked isn't that kind of hard and they all said no. It is smart not to rush it as they are offering something that has never been done and that type of road is always bumpy no matter what. When you are the first and paving the road there will be problems and plenty of them. The bottom line is they are paving the road and in it for the long run. Surface is just one of a pleather of devices. The surface rt is a bargain that I want even though I have several Win 8 machines. The offer for office will not be there forever and is not on the surface pro at all.
