Ballmer needs to come out and Mention Apps Situation
All he has to do is say that they are steadily building their apps count to provide quality apps that customers enjoy.. Then take the top 100 apps that the other IOS and Androids list as the best selling and get them windows certified.. Sometimes it matters to provide what the customer wants...rather than what you think the customer wants....
Well, mobile phones go to websites designed for mobile phones. That's why a connection to a website is called an app. And so ARM tablets mostly go to websites designed for mobile phones.
But a tablet with an Atom processor can go to any website but can also run desktop applications.
Here are some Atom tablets:
HP Elite Pad 900
Lenovo ThinkPad 2
Samsung ATIV 500T
The Samsung ATIV 500T has both WiFi and ethernet connection. The Lenovo ThinkPad 2 has WiFi and USB. The Elite Pad 900 has WiFi while USB is included with the "smart jacket". Then the Elite Pad 900 also offers a "productivity jacket".
Of course check the specs carefully before buying.
Additionally Microsoft should capitalize on their X-Box series.. Improve it and enhance it ...Also they should attend the CES and get some ideas and expand on them as it relates to the xbox phenom. It is obvious that their R&D and marketing depts are clueless !!!
Microsoft should be ashamed at their R&D new product program development team.. They should be like Cook and fire them and announce it to the media...People dont look at Microsoft as a standard bearer anymore...Whats the problem Head Shed ????
Sure is agonizing to see it drop continually weekly...
They need to come out with something that is easy to use, not confusing and not so daunting at first sight !!! As a shareholder i am injecting my 2 cents and I sincerely hope they use more common sense rather than technical logic. After all, those that are purchasing products are the average people that have jobs and need to be practical. Apple products garnered alot of audience because of their simplicity, and style and their Apple Store logistics.
