Gun Control Legislation DOA in the Senate

Even Dirty Harry Reid won't vote for it, because he has Americans in his constituency too.

The Washington Post editorializes on a few key problems, starting with that within less than 24 hours after dingleberrybrain Feinstein introduced her kooky "assault" weapons ban bill, Biden (leading the White House's assault on the 2nd Amendment) was out there saying, ”I’m much less concerned, quite frankly, about what you call an assault weapon than I am about magazines and the number of rounds that can be held in a magazine." He added that “more people out there get shot with a Glock that has cartridges in a high-capacity magazine,” and also suggested that shotguns are more deadly than so-called assault weapons.

NBC reports accurately as well: "Getting an outright ban through a divided Congress ... is unlikely, and the fight is likely to focus on other measures, like the background checks and limits on magazine size."

Bloomberg nails the bottom line: "At least six (more likely 9) of the 55 senators in the Democratic caucus have expressed skepticism or outright opposition to a ban, the review found. That means Democrats wouldn’t have a majority to pass the measure, let alone the 60 needed to break a filibuster to bring it to a floor vote."

Do the math. The kooks somehow got a majority of the vote to keep the Subversive Leftist in Chief in office, but there still remain enough Americans in the People's House and the Senate to keep his extremist leftist agenda from passing.

    • If gun controll was the problem most people would be for it. But it isn't about gun controll it's about controlling our lives, and taking away our rights. Look at the countries that have gun controll, it isn't an improvement.

      • A liberal Senator, or congressmen hat is retiring might vote for it, or in a far left kook state maybe like California, or Illinois, but not anyone up for re-election in next year's midterms. Somethin about Obama wanting you to commit suicide says they won't support Obama. Commerce on firearms has gone through the roof because of Obama's desiere for gun control. Police Depts can't get ammo from all the sales of guns and ammo. Folks by the droves buying the UZI type firearms that never owned a gun before. Virginia has told the bad guys that if they want easy sleaddin to head to Maryland, or Conn. where guns have been outlawed.....and that their citizens have been armed!!
