The U.S Postal Service and the truth it reveals, the U.S. is broke, folks, probably was before Obama
and his chance to be a great President was in the first part of his first term.
The USPS is bleeding red ink in the billions because they are the only government, or in their case quasi governmental entity requied to full fund their retirement and health programs yearly. Without the Congress to infuse money each year they would be BK because the generous terms were unsustainable.
There is no entity to bail us out, benefits and entitlements will eventually be cut including those that "it is morally right" to give or offer.
No, not close to what we are in debt now as a result of Obama's Presidency. Some debt can be OK, but it is a relationship of debt to the overall economy. Bush GREW the economy, and the percentage of debt to our growing economy was serviceable. Obama greatly increased govt spending at the same time he contracted the real economy...a double dose of disaster. Now the debt has reached 100% of our total national economy...a doomsday scenario. Why? Because he adapted/supported a big govt socialist expansion of the federal govt. while raising taxes, increasing expensive, burdensome regulations on the private sector that pays the bills. We continue to contract the private sector as a result of Obama's fascist policies.
"Bush GREW the economy, and the percentage of debt to our growing economy was serviceable. Obama greatly increased govt spending at the same time he contracted the real economy.."
Uh huh, that Bush was amazing wasn't he, a regular super hero.. I remember the last year of his regime, how sweet that was. I loved those wars, so interesting to read about daily. I long for Fall, 2008. You're so right the day he took office that Obama ruined the Bush progress, instantly we had socialism, and fascism even. Uh huh.
Email and texting arrived, you know that. They have to deliver at every address in the USA every day, mind boggling how they do it really. Maybe they need to go to a demand basis like UPS and Fedex. That's a big change to a great country, not to have a mail service. They do a very good job, better than UPS or Fedex I think. Many documents still need to be mailed, maybe we should see if UPS would take 46 cents to deliver a piece of paper to me. I have no problem with subsidizing the post office, we are still a developed country.
Yes, probably was before Obama. Times will get better, bringing manufacturing back, and people becoming more aware it isn't all about their own wealth that matters. We will come back, even better, with a post office too.
Thanks be to God we elected Pres Obama, and not those others.
