Remember: Sequestration/Fiscal Cliff Plan Came from Obama

As we roll closer to the cuts lined out in the sequestration plan, remember that it was Obama’s negotiating team that authored the idea in 2011(Politifact). Lew, Nabors, Sperling and Bruce Reed, Biden’s chief of staff, decided to propose using language from the 1985 Gramm-Rudman-Hollings deficit reduction law as the model for the trigger. It seemed tough enough to apply to the current situation. It would require a sequester with half the cuts from Defense, and the other half from domestic programs (Bob Woodward).

And as we hear from our Dear Anti-leader yesterday, that his new idea is "Hey, let's just kick the ol' can down the road a little further, eh boys?", let's remember his admirable and honorable strength with regard to these automatic cuts back when he put them in place:

"My message to Congress is simple: No. I will veto any effort to get rid of those automatic spending cuts to domestic and defense spending. There will be no easy off-ramps on this one." (Obama, November 21, 2011)

Pathetic, tetherless, unethical, lying, flipping, flopping, flailing, TYPICAL liberal trash, saying anything to get elected and then manage poll ratings. He knows that his adoring low-information voters that get their daily news from Oprah, The Daily Show, The DailyKos, and MSNBC don't know which side of what issues he chose to be on last month, much less a year ago.
