Windows 8 market share less than 3%
HP was counting on Windows 8 to boost sagging PC sales. That didn't happen. PC sales declined almost 5% last quarter. MSFT might have a chance to redeem itself if they bring back the Start Menu with Windows Blue.

No, it doesn't. Hate to break it to you, Wally, but most computers these days are not beige boxes with roaring fans loaded to the gills with abusive MS monopolyware. -
Yes, it's very simple to fix by switching to Linux for FREE! I switched to Linux after the Vista Fiasco. I'll NEVER swtitch to Windows 8! Now Windows 8 is Vista Fiasco 2.0. Microsoft used to run 90% of the worlds computers last decade. If you include Mobile Computing with iOS and Android, Microsoft barely has 75% share. By the way, Windows XP has 80% more market share than Windows 8. It will be interesting to see Microsoft lose even more market share next year, when they discontinue XP support.
