Samsung CEO: Nobody Wants Microsoft's Phones Or Tablets

"One of Samsung's new co-CEOs has some bad news for Microsoft.
"In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, J.K. Shin said, "Smartphones and tablets based on Microsoft's Windows operating system aren't selling very well. There is a preference in the market for Android. In Europe, we're also seeing lackluster demand for Windows-based products."
"This is fairly obvious to anyone that's paying attention, but it carries more weight coming from Samsung, one of Microsoft's big partners.
"The future of computing appears to be in mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The fact that Microsoft is getting left in the dust by Apple and Google has to be a big concern for CEO Steve Ballmer."
It might carry a lot of weight, but it could also be regarded as self-serving. But the fact is that all sources say the same.
Samsung will have its Waterloo moment ... sometime soon... within this year! Nokia/Lumia is gaining momentum at alarming pace that scares Samsung... so much so that Samsung is launching a public smear campaign against WP8 OS! Believe me, they know what is coming and they are scared! Samsung is never cool with Fugly phones, they are just a big pretender/fake.
Part of the "patent license" deal that they signed, after holding out for 2 years, was to pay $5 per handset on Android phones and to accept $97 million in partner payments to offer new handsets with the msft phone OS on them.
Win - win! MSFT gets to say that they are making money on Android and Samsung doesn't have to make anything but a few proof of concept devices and some display models for the carriers to show to customers and then they get to keep all the money.
