Same with INTC. They seem to knock them down post-earnings usually. Then they take them back up until the next earnings. Just got started a little earlier than usual this time. Still up for the year. Typical.
This looks like Goldman has a lot of clients who hold big buy-write positions in MSFT. Buy the stock, collect the dividend, write calls every quarter, repeat. Works great for a relatively safe 10 percent as long as the stock stays in a narrow channel. MSFT share price is collared by the options trading of big holders. If it strays from the channel, GS talks it up or down. Might as well play along.
