    Employment Credit Checks ...

At a company where I am doing some work, they needed some more resources to help with a project. There were 2 individuals that had the background we needed but were currently unemployed for a while. One had lost their house and the other had a car repoed ... Ok, maybe we could help them ... but the company refused to hire them because of a bad credit report ... not any criminal activity .... but Bad Credit.

Researching that a little bit, I now see there are about 10 states that have Banned there employment credit checks ... because they serve no job purpose and eliminate people from work. They say is shows how a person handles their finances and relates to how they might perform ... However, several studies so no correlation.

So, If Bad Credit Shows an Employment Problem ... How About Divorced People ?

On the Background Check there is a public section that shows Divorces. Would you hire a Divorced Person ? Clearly, if they can't manage their own lives and affairs, why do you think they can be trusted to manage a companies affairs ?

    So, they are still unemployed.

    • You wouldn't be posting that if you yourself were not divorced. Just thinking about yourself, selfishcreek.

    • You see, hawcraper, the sucky employment market allows people to be picky. People find a lot less reason to refuse to hire people when there is near full employment.

Thanks, Obama, and thanks to you morons who defend his failure.

    • What would be far more pertinent would be to find out if they vote for the party that is responsible for the proliferation of divorce over the last five decades. That would be the party of family destruction, the lovers of modern progressive social liberalism.

It they voted for the dumb-basses that 1) do nothing to bolster America's employers, and 2) created massive costs, regulations and obstacles for America's employers, then they need to get used to the new normal.

      So, they are still unemployed.

      • Well, Bush's Financial Disaster and Great Recession lowered the divorce rate.

"The feds say the United States fell from 3.6 divorces per 1,000 Americans in 2007 to 3.5 divorces per 1,000 in 2008 to 3.4 divorces per 1,000 Americans in 2009. What’s more, there’s reason to believe that this is no coincidence.

The bad economy is actually keeping people’s marriages together—divorce is expensive."
