Regardless of Q3 ... most of the pieces are in place for Q4-Q1
There is certainly an interesting mix of hardware and software evolving. The pieces are there for MSFT start moving.
AAPL has their tablets on ARMH ... They have an ecosystem, but MSFT's ecosystem is much stronger now. AAPL's tablets are essentially RTs and an extension of their phones. Who knows maybe AAPL without a touch laptop and desktop OS may make laptops with their mobile OS just running apps. Then again maybe not. AAPL does have a loyal following and their market share may be confined to their laptop/desktop market share.
It can be argued that Android is in the same position as AAPL, but will be coming out with a touch chrome OS sooner than AAPL.
How about the MSFT/Windows tablets ... the pro tablet is a mini laptop/desktop. If you want to cannibalize a laptop ... it's a no brainer to do it with a Win pro tablet now that INTC has its act together. And like AAPL and Android, MSFT has their tablet on ARMH. It sounds like MSFT has more bases covered here.
Throw in the Xbox one and INTC's Merrifield for the phone (Q4/Q1) ... more (all current) bases covered.
There is just an interesting mix of hardware and software evolving ... MSFT could really surprise the pundits.
Xbox sales will be the biggest factor in Q4-Q1 and it will be known very quickly how well that is selling.
No one likes the idea of their box recording them in their living rooms for targeted ads. Originally Xbox one was supposed to have a live connection at all times to the internet and that went over so well they had to change the software. LOL. One thing after another is wrong with the new Xbox it will be a flop of epic size. Don't believe me??? I don't care, buy all the MSFT you can.
