Web site contractor went to school with Michelle Obama

Exec at contractor went to school with first lady, donated to Obama campaign. As the problems pile up for, attention is now turning to the relationship between the Canadian company largely responsible for the website and the Obama administration. Top officials at CGI Federal, a lead contractor tasked with developing the site, have a three-decade link to the Obamas. Toni Townes-Whitley, a senior vice president at CGI Federal, is also a Princeton University classmate of first lady Michelle Obama -- and a political donor. The Health Insurance Marketplace online application isn't available from approximately 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. EST daily while we make improvements. Additional down times may be possible as we work to make things better. The rest of the site and the Marketplace call center remain available during these hours.

    • I was wondering when the graft would come out. How the government works and that's why they can't get things done.

    • "Top officials at CGI Federal, a lead contractor tasked with developing the site, have a three-decade link to the Obamas."

The contractor was awarded the prize because of the BUSH Administration Laws.

"Company Behind Troubled Obamacare Website Donated Heavily To Republicans In 2012 and Tied To Bush"

"But according to Federal Election Commission records, that company’s PAC gave more to House Republicans than House Democrats during the 2012 cycle — including a $2,000 check for the GOP’s chief scandal investigator, Oversight Committee Chair Darrell Issa. What’s more, executives of CGI Federal personally gave more than twice as much to GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney than to President Obama. The contractor has also feasted on more than $2.4 billion worth of IT work dating back to the early Bush Administration."

      Also ....

"CGI was given special contractual loophole status by the Bush Administration to not compete for contracts. A company spokesperson claims there was competition, but The Washington Examiner notes the government will not confirm or deny that information."

"CGI was one of 16 companies that had been qualified by HHS during President George W. Bush's second term to deliver, without public competition, a variety of hardware, software and communication products and services.

In awarding the contract, CMS relied on a little-known federal contracting system called ID/IQ, which is government jargon for “Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity.”"

    • And did they say they hated the USA like Michelle said she hated the USA?
