This week provides still more evidence of ObamaCare's job-killing effects.
Among the multitude of taxes ObamaCare levies to help pay for its massive new entitlement program is a 2.3% excise tax on medical device sales.
On Tuesday, an Advanced Medical Technology Association industry survey found the $29 billion tax has prevented or killed 33,000 jobs in the industry.
"As a result of the medical device tax, we have seen an unprecedented impact on jobs and key investments in R&D," said the group's president, Stephen Ubl.
It's not just the industry or ObamaCare-hating Republicans who think this tax is a job-killer. So do hard-left liberals such as Sens. Al Franken and Elizabeth Warren, who've both advocated eliminating it.
They were joined by 28 other Democratic senators who defied Obama to vote in favor of its repeal. A House bill has 43 Democratic co-sponsors.
So Sebelius' claim adds to the large and growing pile of half-truths, misleading statements and outright falsehoods about ObamaCare. Obama himself received the Washington Post's highest rating for deception over his claim that 7 million gained access to Medicaid "for the first time" through ObamaCare.
Which raises a question: If the law is so good, why do they have to constantly lie about it?
