Dan Quayle had a flash card with Potato misspelled and the media made jokes for months

If you were holding a flash card (obvious set up) with a word misspelled might you think "gee I thought this was spelled differently" but use the card spelling anyway?

Hopefully at least late nights will show Obama proper rspect.

    • He didn't need Anything to be a Joke ...

    • The "potatoe" gaff was not an isolated incident. During the years that Dan Quayle was V.P., there was a guy (in Virginia, I believe) who made his living simply by collecting "Quaylisms" and publishing them each month in a newsletter.

      Some famous examples:

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."

"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child."

"What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is."

"Mars is essentially in the same orbit... Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe."

"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century."

    • Every day Hawcreek skips mentioning Bush after 2007 ... he always has good things to say about Bush pre-2007.

      Why ?

Because Hawcreek would have to acknowledge and link the Financial Disaster and Great Recession to Bush.

    • Historical revisionism?
It was Dan Quayle's SEALS that put down Bin Laden! It was those Obama flash cards that took the credit, all football spikey like.
