Bottom line is you don't get something for nothing.

You cannot add pre-existing conditions without raising the rates for others.

You cannot add no life limits without raising the rates for all.

What you have is additional costs PLUS a huge expensive layer of government bureaucracy

    • You don't get a disastrous invasion of Iraq hatched by in incompetent boob without having to pay the trillions it costs.
You don't get to blow the budget on tax giveaways to criminally deranged cronies without the bill coming due.
And there's no way to compete with the wasteful inefficient bureaucracies that insurance companied have erected.
None of this would have been tolerated in a Quayle administration.

Those are the lefty spin, unfounded OPINION, demonstrably wrong wrt to financial costs per the CBO. The most troops ever in Afghanistan happened at Obama's direction. Total cost of the wars less than $800B when Obama took over.

All that said, even had it been true what you said, it did not cause the financial disaster, that was unsupervised sub prime loans, what Obama supported and called a "good idea" as recently as 2007.

        Was it a good idea?
